It is worth noting that several MW/AM British radio stations can regularly be heard throughout Europe - though this is often dependant on time of day, weather and atmospheric conditions. Talksport (1053/89AM), BBC Radio 5 (693/909AM) and Virgin (1215/1197AM) are examples of stations that can often be heard throughout the continent. In much of Southern Scandanavia and Northern France, it is often possible to tune into UK coastal FM stations. Many International Broadcasters, like the BBC World Service, also have Shortwave radio services available, many of which are either entirely broadcast (around the world) in English, or else carry a selection of English programming:- Click here for more information
